Salem (Boston & Celebrity Silhouette)

We had a lovely evening with Joel, dining out at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Gastown. Stopped for a photo op at the steam clock before our fabulous dinner. It was a 3Km walk each way, so at least we earned some of our dinner.

Monday was a long day by the time we got to our hotel in Peabody, Massachusetts (MA). It is just outside of Boston, about half way to Salem.

Tuesday was also a long day, but fun! Did we ever learn a lot about the witch trials. Salem has certainly turned a crazy time in history into a tourist attraction. We went to three museums - the Witch Dungeon Museum, the Witch History Museum and the New England Pirate Museum. Afterwards, we did the self-guided walking tour (as if we hadn't already done enough walking!). There is so much more to see and do - but at least we got a good taste. Speaking of taste, we stopped in at the Au Gratin Luncheonette for lunch. It was a real treat.
