This morning we moved to the Hyatt in Medford, as it is closer to the port. Along the way, we had a lovely walk through the trails along the lake, and visited the Botume House National Park, a historic site where ice was once harvested.
While waiting for our room to be ready, we were pointed toward a nearby pastry shop called Modern Pastry Shop. It was a big mistake! First, trying to decide what to have and second, actually eating every delicious bite!!!
After checking in, we made our way to downtown Boston. We parked near Quincy Market and strolled along the HarborWalk to the Boston Tea Party Museum. The museum offered an engaging and well-done reenactment of the historical event, providing another fascinating glimpse into the past.
On the walk back, we couldn't resist stopping at Quincy Market for a delicious, hot bowl of Boston clam chowder.
We then returned the car to the airport and took an Uber back to the Hyatt for a much-needed rest after a day of exploration.
