Panama Canal

It was already a bit warm as we headed for the locks at 7:45 am, so I stepped outside and took a few photos of the first bridge we passed under—the Atlantic Bridge. Dale managed to take a few pictures from the ship's bridge where he and Jacob spent the day.

Since we have been through the canal a few times before, I decided to watch most of the transit from our cabin window. I listened to Dale and Jacob’s commentary on the TV throughout the day. The canal transit is a full-day event, and they kept it interesting. Jacob focused on the history, while Dale covered the technical and engineering aspects. They worked well together, each bringing a different angle to the story, and people really seemed to enjoy it.

The evening's entertainer was Lindsay Lavin featuring many Beatles songs and some trivia.
