Barcelona to Ft. Lauderdale - at sea to Bermuda

Day 8 - at sea - there were 2 lectures - Caribbean Reef Fish and British Royalty Portrayed on Film. The seas have calmed to only 10' with much calmer seas forecast for later today. After lunch we watched the movie Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Dinner was at the Cyprus Dining Room and Showtime featured David Klinkerberg followed by the game That's a Match.

Day 9 - at sea - the 3 lectures were the Ocean's Deadliest Sea Creatures, Titanic and Classic Movies. I did an Aqua Fun Dance Class in the afternoon, but with the wind and waves as they were, the pool was only half full, which was a challenge. We went back to the Cyprus Dining Room for dinner then on to the theatre for the Production Show Awaken. It was such a busy show, that after watching the game show The Duel, we went back to the theatre to see it again - well worth it! Another late night as we stayed up to watch the Love & Marriage game show - this is always entertaining.

Day 10 - at sea - the 3 lectures were Intriguing Marine Invertebrates, The Age of Discovery and Caribbean Movies. After lunch there was an Elton John tribute in the theatre by pianist/singer Tom McCormick - very well done. Back to the Cyprus Dining Room, then on to the theatre for a new show by Jesse Hamilton Jr., followed by a repeat performance of Smoke & Ivories.

Day 11 - Bermuda - we rented a scooter and did a quick stop at Glass Beach on our way to the capitol city of Hamilton, then up to Spanish Point to get a good view of the ship. Back in Hamilton we popped into a local museum, looked around some shops and had a bite to eat. On the return trip we stopped at Horseshoe Bay which has such beautiful fine sand and lovely views. We had dinner at the Tuscan Dining Room and the theatre featured Antonio Salci - an amazing pianist. Then David Klinkenberg did a new show in Eden - what a fantastic evening.

Day 12 - at sea - another jam-packed day starting with The Extraordinary Life of the Deep followed by Titanic Stories. After lunch was the crew talent show which featured five crew members who each performed amazingly. We then had an hour at the pool to catch some sun before dressing up for Chic Night. We had a fantastic surf and turf dinner at the Cyprus Dining Room then on to the theatre for a wonderfully funny comedian, Fred Klett. The game show was Guess It, and then the Captain was onstage for Liar's Club.

Day 13 - at sea - the last lecture was on Charlton Heston (The Mountain Men) and Ernest Borgnine (Convoy), and some great stories from the movie industry. Spent the rest of the morning packing then on to the special sea food lunch - it was amazing. Afterwards we watched the guests vs the officers (with Captain Tasos) in pool volleyball. Had a nice leisurely afternoon before heading to the Cyprus Dining Room for our last dinner. The evening's entertainment was a production show called Residency (another absolutely spectacular event) followed by the game show Majority Rules, then another late night as Eden featured their production cast in Dream - unbelievable entertainment.

Day 14 - arrived in Ft. Lauderdale and headed directly to the airport for a flight to Vancouver via Seattle. All went well and we spent the night at Joel's for a lovely visit. Saturday however, was a different story. Our WestJet flight first got delayed by 45 minutes, then by another hour, and then by another 3 hours. What with having to arrive 2 hours early to the airport it took 8 hours to get to Comox. Oh well, at least we got here safe and sound! All in all it was a fabulous trip.
