Sydney - Majestic Princess

We had the day in Sydney as the ship was taking on new passengers. At The Rocks, we found the Archaeological Site of the first settlers/convicts and from there took the train to save some time, to get to the Hyde Park Barracks. We were given a headset with tons of information about the history of Sydney and the living conditions of the settlers, convicts and the aboriginals. It was so interesting, but abominable! Especially since the word convict did not necessarily mean criminal - just that they were convicted (often of petty crimes) and sent to Australia. There are several more museums in Sydney relating to the social and economic structure of the times - all are free and open to the public. I wish we had time to visit more of them.
