Fiji to Sydney - Majestic Princess

We arrived in Nouméa, New Caledonia at 11am and were off on our adventures by 2pm. Dale did his usual wine & cheese tour (wonderful French cheeses of course), while I headed off to the Tjibaou Cultural Centre. This featured the Kanac indigenous culture – very interesting. Our evening entertainment was a tribute to the Beatles by the house band, Grace’s Secret. A special mention of the game show Read My Lips as the cruise staff outdid themselves and it was hilarious.

On our second day in Nouméa, we did the Hop-On/Hop-Off bus, which was a bit different than most as it only had four stops, but it did do a circular route. We first stopped at the Morning Market which was filled with local arts and crafts. Our next stop was Lemon Bay which was the only beach open to swimmers as it had a shark net (the water was too cold anyway!). We did the rest of the route but returned to the ship for lunch before heading back out to the Aquarium which we really enjoyed. It was beautiful and well stocked. Tim Motley was our Comedy Mentalist at the theatre.

Two more days at sea as we make our way back to Sydney, featuring the Production Show Encore and one of our favourite game shows, The Marriage Match. Another favourite was Hollywood Hiccups the next evening followed by a Farewell Variety Show. Then on to Sydney.
