Departing Civitavecchia – we had dinner in the Cyprus dining room (Mediterranean Food), then watched the evening performance which was superb! Nicola Loud was the violinist, backed by the ship’s band. She was brilliant!
Livorno, Italy – We wandered around the town, found a few interesting landmarks and headed back to the ship for a late lunch. We had dinner in the Tuscan dining room (Italian), then of course, went to the evening show which was a band called The Overtures. They featured music from the 60’s, so we knew most of them!
Toulon, France – It seemed a bit of an expense to spend 40 euros to go to town, as we had just been in Aix-en-Provence in April, so we had a lovely relaxing day onboard. Watched a movie – The Tomorrow Man, did some reading in the Solarium, then soaked in the champagne flute hot tub chatting with fellow travelers. Formal night tonight, so got all dressed up. Dinner in the Normandie dining room (French), followed by a Whitney Houston tribute by Ashlie Amber - fabulous!
