Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan

Ok, a bit of a change!!!  Dale was invited to do another Vimy presentation to the Francophone Historical Society of Saskatchewan.  We did have one day at home to do laundry and repack - sure needed warmer clothes!  It was a great event - 900 Francophone and French Immersion students from all over the province got a quick (30-45 minutes) explanation of Vimy and Aviation.  It was well received and the audiences were most appreciative.

So what does one do in Moose Jaw after talking all day?  Well, actually, we found a couple of really nice restaurants including the Déja Vu Café and Seasons restaurant at our hotel.

An excerpt from FaceBook - Ok Comox - this is a great idea! We are staying at the Heritage Inn in Moose Jaw, and were on our way out for dinner, when we smelled this wonderful aroma from the Inn's restaurant. Apparently every Friday is Pasta Night - and it is superb. You choose from shrimp, sausage, chicken, ham, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, peas, onions, etc. Then you take it over to the Chef who has 10 pans lined up in front of him and he puts your choices into your pan. Then asks if you want garlic, basil, oregano, pepper, chilies, tomato pesto, wine etc. and cooks it all in front of you. He then adds your choice of pasta and presto - a fresh, tasty meal. They also have three choices of sauces which are yummy, but so not necessary! It is called a Pasta Bar! We need this! xx

And the highlight was - the tunnels - used during prohibition and also for Chinese immigrant workers.

How long do we get to make a decision?

One decision made!
How do you like your pasta?
Our last day.
