Celebrity Ascent - November 2025 - Cagliari, Sardinia

We had a nice drive down from Tolfa to Civitavecchia and boarded the ship in record time. By the time we unpacked and had a walk around the deck it was time for dinner. The evening's entertainment in the theatre, was vocalist Lorraine Crosby with her show 'She Will Rock You'. We then managed to stay up to watch the performance of 'Dreams' in the Eden garden at the back of the ship.

Our first port was Cagliari, on the island of Sardinia, Italy. We had booked an excursion out to the Nora archaeological site up the coast. It dated back to the Phoenicians, however, the Romans had built on top of the original settlement, so it is a real mix. The weather was fabulous, so it was a great day. Dave Kristian was in the theatre after dinner doing an absolutely hilarious comedy show. He kept the audience in stitches for the entire show.

Sunday, November 2nd was at sea, so Dale followed Mark Oristao (a Football broadcaster) in the theatre. After lunch Dale signed up and did a juggling class. We had met some lovely people, Kim and Mike, who we then got together with after lunch and after Dale's class, played a fun card game called Crowns. I think we mostly chatted, but it was a lovely afternoon. Dale then did a TV interview with the Activities Manager Wes, so we had a late dinner then went to the Production Show Bridges. Dave Kristian followed with an adult version of his comedy, which was again, very entertaining.
