Winnipeg - May 2024

Talk about a whirlwind trip - Adam wanted to show Natalie and  the kids where he grew up, so we visited our old homes and the schools that he and Joel attended. We also drove around to find our parents' homes and even grandparents' homes. Of course that meant driving out to Twin Lakes Beach on Lake Manitoba - things have sure changed out there. In our travels we popped in to Barb and Brad's for a lovely catch up! The Bridge Drive Inn was a big hit with the little ones (you should have seen the size of their ice cream treats!). We visited The Forks (where the Red and Assiniboine Rivers merge) on a beautiful sunny day and walked across the bridge to see the old St. Boniface Cathedral. Dale and I also got to visit the Human Rights Museum - an amazing building and so poignant, then we met up with Al and Carol for lunch. And another highlight was a wonderful visit and dinner at Joe and Corrie's (Dale's cousin), their kids and Uncle Gerald and Anne. So sorry we didn't have time to meet up with all the relatives and friends.
