Mid Cruise

Hi close family and friends!

A quick update from the ship as we are now across the dateline and lost our March 6th - Friday.  It is now Saturday as I type.

We have met some fabulous - fun dinner table mates - two couples from Ottawa - brother and sister and their spouses.  So funny and full of life and stories and great supporters of Laurel and me as we continue our voyage as ‘celebrities’.

This small ship is really promoting the talks with two TV interviews and twice and sometimes 3 x daily announcements of events - all with kind words.

Laurel went on stage as a dating game celebrity for a ventriloquist skit - it was sooo funny. Poor Laurel had two nutty ladies that embarrassed the performer so much that he dropped his ‘dummy doll’ and almost fell on the floor in painful laughter twice!

The ship is so easy to meet new friends and people keep coming by to chat and it is a real pleasure to share time with them.

My ping pong is great fun with about 5 good players that don’t hesitate to challenge me to a match.

Food is over the top delicious and we have not tired of the activities onboard.  Trivia, dance, music and shows.

A recent show with Cole Porter tunes brought back recent memories of our musical - it was so much fun to watch the pros perform and really pour their souls out - like we did!

Last night the food once again was over the top - I had Duck a l‘Orange and another main of Beef Wellington -  good thing they were fairly small portions (no dessert and I went to the gym today).

The show was amazing as the young crew staff were so good - a delight.

Update: NZ -  Now onshore and ready to discover.

All good from under the ‘Southern Cross’.

Love Dale n Laurel ( Dad n Mom)
