Heading to Eugene, OR
Had a restful couple of days and now we are on the road again. Leaving our resident Billy Goat from the campsite, it was a very scenic drive until we hit the I-5. We have yet to figure out why we were caught in such a traffic jam, but after an hour in bumper to bumper traffic, we took the first exit to escape - what a wonderful GPS we have! We had to backtrack a little to find our new route, but it was so worth it. Peaceful and pastoral, plus we were moving! Still don't know where the problem was, but we got back on the I-5 a few miles down the road and it was moving there.
We are now in Coburg, OR (just outside of Eugene) at RVGlass Solutions getting our windshield reinstalled. The first job looked great, but started causing problems two days after the initial installation. The trim started peeling off while we were driving and upon testing, it leaked like a sieve. We had to detour to come here, as they are going to totally remove the new windshield and have a 25% risk of breaking it. At least here, they have windshields in stock in case this happens. We are presently in their (very nice) waiting room, with internet, coffee and washrooms (very necessary to have together). Hopefully we will be on our way tomorrow.
