Beaches & Forests

Had a great walk on the huge beach at the mouth of the Klamath River.  We saw whales, sea lions, pelicans, cormorants, osprey and the usual seagulls.

Then into Prairie Creek Redwood State park and some phenomenal trees!  Plus the attendant Stellar Jays and Ravens.

Then up to a viewing site where we got a much better view of a couple of whales.  It looked like a mom and a little one and were informed that they were probably Pilot whales.

Oh yes, and upon arriving back at our campsite, we were invited to attend their musical evening.  Some wonderful entertainment.
