Rogue River and Crater Lake, Oregon

Another day, another myriad of spectacular scenery!  But first . . .
It was highly recommended that we stop at Beckie's Restaurant on our way to Crater Lake, for their wonderful pie.  We did lunch first, thinking that pie is pie, right?  No need to take a picture, as it looked like your average pie, but then we tasted it - yum!  Blueberry, blackberry, strawberry and raspberry pie - a delightful combination.  Somehow we managed to resist getting more than one piece!
The first stop didn't wear off any calories as we stopped for some stunning views of the Rogue River, just beside the road.  We were finally able to justify the pie when we got to the Rim Village at Crater Lake.  The path was tricky as there were still many large patches of snow obscuring the path and even some of the roads were still closed.  But it was well worth the effort to hike on through the snow and search out the trail.
