Celebrity Summit - LA to Vancouver

Friday was at sea. Dale and Jacob did their last talks for this segment, then had a Q&A session for the guests, which went very well. They both answered a lot of questions on their respective topics. It was also the last night with our wonderful dinner companions, Bonnie, Ron and Jacob. We already miss their company and conversations! The Production Show was called Soundtrack, which featured the singers, dancers and acrobats.

Saturday, we arrived in LA, ending the Panama Cruise and beginning the repositioning cruise to Vancouver. We had to wait around in the theatre for the immigration authorities to get ready, then we disembarked, cleared customs and returned to the ship. It was cold and rainy, plus there is not much to do in and around San Pedro, so we had a nice quiet day onboard. We had lunch before the new passengers arrived and managed to get a nap in before dinner. The evening’s entertainer was comedienne Monique Marvez.

Sunday was at sea and Dale had an early morning talk at 9am. However, because the weather was cold, windy and wavy, he was asked to do another talk at noon – busy day! Afterward, I watched the movie Reagan in the theatre while Dale had a nap and caught up on his emails. The Production Show was Broadway Cabaret, which we had already seen, but really enjoyed it again.

Monday, we arrived in San Francisco. We had a nice leisurely morning before being picked up at Pier 27 by Ross and Giselle, who drove us over to Pier 39. It was a beautiful day and after walking around for a bit found a restaurant where we could sit outside under an umbrella and catch up. It was great fun and we really enjoyed their company (as usual). The tacos and the quesadillas were great too. The entertainer that evening was BaraJolka, a phenomenal sand paint artist.

Tuesday was at sea and a formal night (Evening Chic). Dale was on the schedule again for two talks again, as although it was sunny out, it was only 12°. The Production Show was a repeat of Life, but again, well worth watching.

On Wednesday we were in Astoria, Oregon. The weather wasn't great, so we just did a big walk to town and back. Savannah Smith was the entertainer. She did the same show as last week, so Dale caught up on some work and I watched an animated movie called Epic. Afterwards, there was a late night 'salty' show by the comedienne Monique Marvez, which was funny and not too 'salty'.

Thursday had us in Victoria (getting close to home!) and we met up with Rod and Linda. They took us to the Union Club for lunch and we ate in the McGregor Lounge. It is a beautiful building - high ceilings, rich woodwork and huge windows. https://www.unionclub.com/

Afterwards they drove us to The Centre of the Universe Observatory. Unfortunately, it is only open in the evening, but it was a lovely day for a drive and a good chance to catch up.

Friday we arrived in Vancouver and after a nice breakfast, headed over to Joel's for a really quick visit and to pick up our car. Had a bit of a rest on the ferry, then home to reality!!!
