To Victoria and back again!

So, it started off really well with a trip down to Victoria in Allan's Navion.  Allan dropped us off with Paul, then Nancy joined us and they treated us to lunch at Mary's (an aviation cafe, of course).  It was a fairly smooth flight, in spite of the weather and took around 50 minutes.

And then I got a look at our ride back home!  What did I sign up for?

So as you can see here, we are just going over Chrome Island - getting closer to home.

And here is the north end of Denman Island with Comox Bay on the left.

It is low tide at Tree Island.

And the weather isn't the best as we get closer.

Going past Larry and Julie's - I see the little red car!

Goose Spit - we are getting there.

Runway in sight - definitely low tide.

I can see the house - almost there!

Home safe and sound!  Not too bad, the trip home took an hour and twenty minutes in the Aeronca Champ.  It would have been a lot more in the Challenger.
