Nymph Falls Hike

I finally got to wear my toque and gloves this week as it was a little chilly early on down by the river.  More water in the river but not near spring time levels.  A lot of the river inukshuks have withstood the rising levels and made a nice scene in the rising mist.  Heading upriver Cec and Jana set a brisk pace which soon had us warmed up and ready for a bit of puddle hopping at the start of the Bearbait trail.  We detoured into the clearcut a ways and then back to Bearbait.  At the junction, there is a step with a thunderbird carving.  I don't know how many times I have been by there and never noticed it - always something new to see, even on familiar trails!  After a peaceful lunch at the dam, we headed back on the River trail arriving just as a few sprinkles of rain started.  It was 14 km in 3hrs 50 min for the eleven of us.
