St. Petersburg, Russia

Third port day – St. Petersburg, Russia!  It took ages to clear customs and meet up with our tour group, but thankfully they waited for us and we hit the ground running.  First stop was the Hermitage Museum, followed by Church of the Spilled Blood.  Lunch was at a local pie shop, followed by a trip to Catherine’s Palace, which included entry into the Amber Room.  Traffic was heavy as the locals were heading out of town to avoid the huge parade on Saturday.  More on that later.  xx
