Day 6 - Hot Springs

At least Hot Springs would have been the highlight until we came face to face with a Buffalo on the road - on the Motorcycle of course!  I took the picture as we stopped and were deciding whether to continue or turn around.  The Buffalo just kept sauntering down the road toward us, so Dale figured that the cars coming from the opposite direction left him enough room to pass on their side of the road - six feet away from potential disaster!  Thankfully the Buffalo just continued on his way, ignoring us completely.  I don't ever want to come that close to such a huge beast (or any wild beast) again.

So back to the Hot Springs - Norris Geyser Basin and Mammoth Hot Springs.  So much sulphuric acid makes for a desolate looking landscape and yet it is so full of life.  How amazing!  But man, was that Buffalo ever huge!
