Pre-cruise in Athens

Good news and bad news - its (Greek Orthodox) Easter!  Most things were closed on Sunday so we had to fit the important stuff in on Saturday, but at least it was free!  Unfortunately, we had to fit in some shopping as well, as Hans' suitcase went 'missing' on the Metro between the airport and our hotel.  Things really are tough in Greece and we got to see it up front and personal.  We made the best of it though, and had a marathon day.  Sunday was more relaxed so we meandered and found a charming place for lunch near the Roman Agora.  We found lots to see and do in spite of it being Easter and even found a few more items for Hans.  And then there were the fish!  Yikes!  But our feet were tired and sore enough to try (though I still get heart palpatations when I think of it).  Plus a visit to the Police Station - was that ever hard to find!  What an experience.  Monday morning we were refreshed enough to visit a few more free sites then headed to the pier to catch our ship.
