As you may have noticed, our time has run out! Maureen and Jonathan did us proud with a mega send off on Tuesday. Here are a few photos from the party including some of 'our band'. Thanks to Ian we sounded pretty good! Good food, good friends, good times - but no Good Bye - we will be back!

Hi Dale,
We’ve never met, but I believe that we are distant (3rd) cousins. Were your paternal grandparents named Fred Erhart and Bertha Balzer? Fred and Bertha were born in Russia, but immigrated with their families in the early 1900s to Winnipeg, where they were married in 1918 and raised their family. Fred’s father (your great grandfather) Friedrich “Fritz” Erhart was born in Holstein, Russia around 1857 and lived in Winnipeg until May 1923, when he moved to Los Angeles with his wife Molly, their youngest son Alex and Alex’s wife Molly. I have been researching my family tree for the last several years and have found records which indicate that Fritz Erhart was the brother of my 2x great grandfather, George Ehrhardt (“Erhart” was spelled many ways including “Ehrhardt” and “Erhardt”). Fritz sponsored George and his family (including my great grandmother Molly Ehrhardt) when they immigrated to Winnipeg from Russia in November 1906. I came across your blog and thought I would introduce myself. I would be happy to share my research on the family if you are interested and would love to compare notes.
Regards,
Allison
